About Non-Stabilised Sanitisers
Pool Sanitisers when used correctly as part of a proper pool maintenance schedule will kill bacteria in your pool continuously.
There are two types of sanitisers Stabilised and Non-Stabilised. Below we will look at Non-Stabilised Sanitisers and their advantages.
Non-Stabilised Dry Chlorine (Calcium Hypochlorite) Zodiac PQ Dry Chlorine are of excellent quality. Be careful of cheaper chlorines as the cheaper the chlorine the more residue (waste material) it contains. Cheap Chlorine is not economical as more is required to achieve the same reading.
Advantages (of good quality dry chlorine):
- Fast effective sanitation
- Stronger than liquid chlorine
- Easy to use
- Convenient to purchase
- Removes leaf stains quickly
Remember – as these products do not contain stabiliser they are affected by the Suns UV Rays and are best added to the pool at dusk or at night.
Non-Stabilised Liquid Chlorine (Sodium Hypochlorite)
- Totally soluble
- Ideal for use with salt chlorinators
- Ideal for superchlorination
Non-Stabilised Chlorines will increase your pH and Calcium Hardness. Remember, Liquid Chlorine has a corrosive effect if spilt on some surfaces. Extreme care is required if dosing by hand. Avoid spillage onto clothing or contact with skin and eyes.
We recommend that you obtain advice from your Zodiac Pool Professional before adding any treatment to your pool or spa.
